Our Leadership

Arash Naeim, MD PhD

Co-Founder

Dr. Naeim received his B.S. in Biochemistry and M.D in Medicine at UCLA. He completed training in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training in Geriatrics and Hematology-Oncology. He received a Ph.D. In Public Policy from the Pardee RAND Graduate School with a focus on health economics and population-based risk stratification. He is currently a Professor of Medicine and Bioengineering at UCLA with a national and international recognition in cancer and aging. He is Co-Director of the UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute and the UCLA Center for SMART Health. He is an Associate Director in the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, UCLA Institute for Precision Health, and Garrick Institute for Risk Sciences. Administratively, he is the Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Research for UCLA Health managing the Office for Clinical Research responsible for the institutional clinical research infrastructure. He is also a Physician Informaticist responsible for Research and Oncology for UCLA Health with board certification in clinical informatics.

Ramin Ramezani, PhD

Co-Founder

Dr. Ramezani received his BSc in Computer Science, Math and Electronics, MSc in Digital Signal Processing from University of Lancaster and PhD in Artificial Intelligent from Imperial College London. He started his academic career as a postdoctoral scholar and later moved to work in medical domain as the Chief Technologist within the Department of Surgery and Cancer, both at Imperial College London. He joined UCLA in November 2014 as research scientist working on technologies and algorithms used in building remote patient monitoring systems. He joined UCLA medical school in 2015 as technical director. He is currently a member of center for SMART health and an associate adjunct professor within UCLA computer science department.
